Recall 26V493000: Hyundai Motor America, electrical system:ignition:coil

Problem

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2027 Genesis G80 vehicles. The ignition coil ground bolt may be loose, resulting in an engine misfire or stall while driving.

Risk

An misfire or loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will tighten the ignition coil ground bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 18, 2026. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 034G. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov July 31, 2026.
