The battery energy control module software may cause an incorrect state of charge to display in the vehicle, or lead to an increased risk of a high voltage battery fire after repeated DC Fast Charging cycles.","consequence":"An inaccurate state-of-charge reading can lead to an unexpected loss of drive power, increasing the risk of crash. Additionally, a high voltage battery fire increases the risk of injury.","remedy":"Dealers will update the BECM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 8, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
