As such, these child seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, \"Child Restraint Systems.\"","consequence":"A child seat that does not maintain proper recline position may not adequately secure a child in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, should another passenger put their hand in the recline mechanism when it shifts out of position, their risk of injury is increased.","remedy":"Evenflo will replace the child seat, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning February 18, 2026.
